Happy 1st Birthday, Janessa

Time flies, one year has passed...today is Janessa's 1st birthday.
Looking back it was a wonderful & fullfilling life for me & Kenny.

As I was writing this blog, I can't help to thank God for such an adorable & beautiful baby girl we have.
Janessa is getting prettier, cuter each day with all her little milestone throughout the months.
I will jot down each of her milestone soon..

I was in Subang Jaya Medical Centre (where Janessa was born) yesterday to visit a good friend who was not well. As I was walking through the hospital, I can't help but reminiscing on the day I was admitted to deliver baby Janessa. It was a good feeling & I somehow miss that moment...

Last Sun, 1st Nov we celebrated Janessa's 1st birthday party. It was fun...mom was cooking the whole day making sure her beloved granddaughter had a memorable party.

To my Baby Janessa: Daddy, Mommy & che-che Janelle love you very much.

4th November 2008...another Princess

4th Nov 2008 was a special day. Baby Janessa was born 3 weeks early.

As usual, I was up in he morning at 5.45am and found myself "leaking". Oh no, my water bag burst! My hubby dashed up from the bed in daze, thinking what to do next.
I, on the other hand have a quick bath, called my mom, called Janelle's nanny and packed my half-packed bag . Mine you, I havent really complete packing my bag yet as i thought i still have time! Gosh, I was so wrong...

We dropped Janelle at Aunty Po-Po's house. Reached SJMC at 6.30am (thanks God, there is no jam). Check-in the Labour Room at 6.45am and Dr Mak came at 7.15am. Doc said i had dilated 5cm but still not ready to deliver. He mentioned that the baby won't be arrived until noon. What??!! I was already having sharp contraction. But it's bearable...my hubby was with me, chating & holding my hands. It was a good feeling & make my whole delivery a pleasant experience.

Suddenly, I had an urge to poo...my hubby quickly called the midwife. She came in, checked & said "the baby is coming out soon!!" I was having intense pain now, doc & nurses rushed in. I was asked not to push but hold on. How can?? Something is coming out...feel like i wanna to poo.

Once everybody was ready, I was asked to push. "Come-on, push, you can do it..!!"
I can feel everything, I mean everything - the tearing, water gushing out, something down there trying hard to come out...

Last push, with all my might & strength, burst my last breath... then i heard baby crying. I glanced at the clock - 8.34am. Exact 2 hours of labour...and Janessa was 4kg!!! No joke. I delivered naturally and i was almost wheeled to OT for C-sec if the baby is too big.

Janessa came at the right time. Beautiful, chubby baby. I almost cry knowing that she is going to be a part of us...a new addition to our family. A baby sister to Janelle. The journey with Janessa has just begun...

"Moo-Moo"

Jan's favourite shopping complex is Midvalley. We have been busy for the weekdays so her request was sadly turned down.

So, we told her - if she is a good & obedient girl , we will go Midvalley on the weekend.

Yesterday, after church - we told her that we are going to Midvalley. She shouted "Hooray, we are going Midvalley". I can see her joy & excitement.

We had lunch at Carl Jr and Jan ate her favourite fries. Then we headed to Carrefour for groceries shopping. As we walked passed the Wall's ice-cream counter, there was a promotion where if we buy 2 tubs of latest Moo ice-cream, we will receive a free toy that looks like a cow.

Obviously, Jan instantly loves the toy. We have no choice and ended up buying 2 tubs.
There she goes - she has another animals added to her safari. A cow and she calls him Moo-Moo.
Now, she eats, plays & sleeps with her new Moo-Moo.

This morning, she insisted that she wants to bring Moo-Moo to school. I said no, and she said why the little girl ( from the movie: Charlotte's Web) can bring her pig to school and she can bring her Moo-Moo too!!

Jan: Mommy, can I bring Moo-Moo to school, ok?
Me: No, Jan. Moo-Moo has no place to sit in school.
Jan: Never mind, I bring a chair for Moo-Moo.
Me: No, Jan. The school does not have enough chair.
Jan: Then, I share with him lor..

Oh, how sweet and I started to laugh. Finally, she agreed that she will leave Moo-Moo in the car. When she is back from school, she can bring Moo-Moo to Aunty-Poh-Poh's house..

"No Time?"

Janelle is a fast learner. She picks up things easily & though she is only 3+ she can speaks in sentences, with good vocabulary (sometimes I also do not know where she learns all these words from)

Last night, as my hubby was playing game on my handphone - Janelle was watching. Suddenly, she asked my hubby to let her play the handphone. I overheard the conversation between 2 of them:

Janelle: Papa, my turn now?
Papa: Wait
Janelle: Janelle has no time oleadi
Papa: Hah..

And my hubby started to laugh. I guess, she must have learned this from me -opps!
Each time, whenever she is eating or changing clothes - I have to hurry her. I will say " Janelle, quick! Mommy has no time oleadi.." So, now we know where she learns this from ;o)

Since this incident - i need to watch out what I say & do in front of her.

NeVer Too LaTe

14th Dec 2007

Janelle (fondly known as Jan) will be 3 tomorrow..
As a mom, I will not let all the sweet moments fly away.
I wanna go back to January 2007 to recall all specials moment of my Girl.

January - April 2007

Janelle was with her granny's home in Ayer Tawar. Her nanny was away to London.
Initially, I found a replacement nanny near my house, but unfortunately Jan refused to be with her 'new' nanny. She cried all the times, didnt want to eat & sleep.

When my hubby & I picked her up after work, she clinged to us so tightly & refused to let go. She was 'traumatised' & as if we were going to leave her again...

Then came my mom...asking Jan to stay with her in kampung. Jan new journey began...
